Composite Veneers
Composite Veneers help to reshape your teeth to give it a uniform desirable look. Composite veneers may require minimal to no teeth prior preparation and also is an inexpensive procedure when compared to porcelain or Lumineers. Composite material such as resin are aesthetically applied in layers through a bonding agent until the desired shape of teeth is achieved. Often composite veneers as termed to be as ‘temporary veneers’ as they are low in cost and last only for around five years of time. One may go in for composite veneers to quickly fix, disguise or correct a troubling crack or chip of tooth.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are made of high quality, durable ceramic material that are prepared to match with the natural colour of surrounding teeth. Porcelain veneers are often custom-made and hand crafted in lab to give it a proper long lasting finish. They are often permanent in nature and help correct spaced teeth, high discolouration and minor tooth functionalities where it acts as an alternative option for orthodontics. Porcelain veneers are also stain resistant and hence are more preferred.
Lumineers
Lumineers are ultra-thin designed veneers providing that extra cosmetic appearance for your teeth. Use of Lumineers need not require any other kind of filling. As they are very sleek in design, they are expensive yet are long lasting in nature. These last around 20 years and can be safely removed for a replacement without leaving your teeth damaged. The fitting of Lumineers require at least two visits to the clinic.
